This Thread is for any of you who aren't used to the Format of a Message Board. Please do not get frustrated or give up. It's quite easy once you get the hang of it.
First, when you find the site, notice your toolbar at the top of the page, under the Title Bar, and above the horrid advertisements.
Also, notice your Message Notifications in the very top right-hand corner of your screen for Private Personal Messages sent to you by the staff or from fellow Boomers.
The most important options on your toolbar are:
1. Register- For those of you that are not members yet, click here and complete the quick and easy process to become a member of the website. We ask that you become a member before purchasing tickets, or really...just in general. Come on, join up!)
2. Login/Logout- Once you become a member of the Site, this is where you type your username/password to login to your account. Pretty simple... If you want to make posts under your name, you will have to log in.
3. Profile- This is where you modify everything seen by all when you post. You can make your own picture/avatar, and you can also type in things such as a signature (see at the bottom of my posts, it says- "Nothin' Left To Do But Smile, Smile, Smile...") and tweak with other customary things, like changing your display name or changing your password, etc. etc. etc. The possibilities are endless!
3. Admin- This is only for staff/moderators. This is where you guys can control pretty much everything, from creating skins/layouts to creating/deleting topics and announcements, and so on...
Next, Notice the Boards on the Front Page. Click on the actual Board Titles to view the Topics/Threads of the Site. (To start your own thread, and please feel free, look for the icon that simply says "New Thread".)
The Boards, so far, are:
General Boombootyboards- This has most of the information you need on the site.
Boombootywah 2010 Lineup- To see who is playing...
Tickets- Where to buy tickets...
Gallery- Photos of the Festival Grounds/previous events...
In each Board, there are going to be seperate Topics/Threads. You can Reply/Contribute to these threads by going to the bottom of the page and typing what you wish in the Quick Reply Box. Post away, kids!
If any of you are still lost, you can either post questions here, or click on my name (Little) and ask me personally by clicking 'Send Personal Message'. Personal Messages (PM's) are private and can not be viewed by anyone else in the world besides you and whoever you send it to.
